People were nice and efficient, great service. Drinks were fantastic! We had margarita with float and key lime vodka drink, very tasty. Food was good. Clam chowder was salty and very little bacon but still Good. Pastrami sandwich was very good. Sliders looked ok, didn't taste them, but looked average. Steak sandwich was kind of lacking in the meat, didn't even cover the bread. But overall the food was decent. Pretty happy with everything, I would go back for the drinks alone.

The food and service here was incredible. We really enjoyed looking over the menu and choosing a meal! It was a hard choice.

We had lunch the other day here, and it was fantastic! The wife had shrimp scampi, and I had the bacon Bleu burger, both were delicious! Our waiter was polite and helpful...will dine here again!

BBQ pork sandwich - two thumbs up! I deducted one star because we had to wait for an eternity for the espresso, could of been rectified if we were given a heads up if there was a delay - work lunch is only so long.

same never go wrong with having dinner at this restaurant. Went there with a few friends and I must say we all had great food. I had a ribeye steaks that was perfectly done and I felt I got a good meal for the price.

Food was good, I recommend the barbecue salmon, and shrimp linguine. The atmosphere was calm and inviting, kids eat free with an adult entree on Saturday and Sunday. Service is friendly and quick. Not crowded and quiet enough. They have soft different lighting. Pricing was reasonable. Drinks were strong. I went here and took my client here after showing houses. Business Dinner with coworkers. Long wait. Management didn’t expect that a Thursday would be so busy. They were caught off guard-short waiters. Food was just okay. I had the fish and chips. I have had better fish and chips. Food is typical American Food. I also think the prices are little too high for the type of food. I will give this restaurant a 4 star as there nothing too special that I found. Not a bad place for causal dining but don’t expect anything too special or authentic.

Service was great - really very good. Food was good but not the caliber I would expect for the setting. I would be willing to give another try because of the great service.

My husband and I stopped by the Malabar en route to SMF for Happy Hour.Our bartender, Kim was really sweet, very professional and she was, "on it "! I told her we had to be at the Airport in 50 minutes and we were having one beverage and we would like to split an order of chicken strips and Kim handled it all perfectly, we made it to the airport with time to spare! Their chicken strips are tender and hot. We were very impressed with how welcoming and friendly the entire staff was at the Malabar! We'll be back.

This is my new favorite restaurant! BEST clam chowder in Sac. Have never had a bad meal there. Plan to go to their Thanksgiving dinner. Malabar is the bomb.

American food at this location - great. Came in on a Thurs. I think I might become a regular. The place has a great feel to it. Menu is similar to a restaurant in El Paso I loved.

Wow! Malabar is awesome. Had a steak and potatoes and was it ever perfect. Love the decor and vibes. Highly recommend.

This place simply knows how to treat their clients. Consistently with a very friendly attitude. The food is reasonably priced, regularly fresh and neat.

Recent first time visit to any "Malabar" restaurants. Couldn't find one thing to reduce the five star rating. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, awesome menu items. A "bit" difficult navigating the single entrance parking area that serves a multitude of shops, eateries, etc.... and, apparently, there is a larger than usual crime element in the vicinity as well, as the parking area was overflowing with "warning, not responsible for valuables left in your car" signs. We visited around noon, so this fact "might" deter us from visiting at night (or recommending a night visit). That's unfortunate. However, would recommend and will return if in the area again.

Food was good, our server was very friendly, very outgoing, and very helpful. My only problem was that I ordered a burger, the server said "I prefer medium rare," I said "Then we are now friends. Medium rare it is." When he served it, he said "There you go. Well done." I laughed. Obviously he was joking, right? After all we had just become friends over medium rare and shared a laugh, right? Nope. I got well done. Fortunately, I love burgers pretty much all across the continuum. I write this not to complain but rather to point out that people can make mistakes. And also it was funny.

Leaving a review to negate the 1-star review left by a guest that was asked to leave on thanksgiving and painted it as a racist narrative. That table was cursing and yelling at their two female servers (who were also of native-American descent), and were politely denied service due to no staff feeling safe approaching them. I applaud management for protecting its staff from hostile people and maintaining an ambiance of celebration and thanksgiving for the other patrons.

Great service and food. I had the Ahi Tuna Sliders. Overall, a little pricey but if you can make it for Happy Hour then your GOLDEN.

When you walk into this place it smells amazing. The food is pretty good too. I would probably go back if i were in the area. We stopped in four happy hour on our way to see Santana.....Service was a little slow but it was ok for us because we weren't in that big of a hurry.

Excellent food options and reasonable prices. Went with a group of colleagues where one was vegan and another needed gluten free, but something for the rest of us too. There were lots of great options for all of us to enjoy what we wanted.

Great food but, service at the bar was pretty slow. Waited a while to be talked to but, in all fairness, they were semi busy. Next I'll try the dining side and be able to give a more educated rating!

Always a great place to go for lunch or dinner. Noise level is rather loud, but that seems to be the norm today. Misty's service was super and my filet with colossal prawns was about the best that I've ever experienced. Awesome dinner and service, thanks Misty and the chef.

The brunch and lunch and dinner the food is amazing. The service is nice and all around great experience.

Nice menu with some original items. I had lobster chili relleno, it was really good. The two side items however were barely warm above room temp (beans and a beef taco). Also time from order to food on table was close to 25 min., longer than i expected or thought for this type location. Server was very attentive. I did not complain or report food temp issues as i did not want to extend my meal time any longer by having staff ask questions and trying to teplace food items.

The buffalo shrimp with the Diablo sauce are great!

Affordable meals, great staff and exquisite ambiance. When your at Natomas, this place is definitely a go-to joint.

Our first visit was excellent!! We will definitely return soon, the New York rib eye and bbq salmon were just as juicy as they looked! Our appetizer shrimp was crunchy yet a bit spicy you have to give it a try if you like shrimp in general.

We were sharing this restaurant with friends for their first time. Everyone enjoyed the food and drinks. Excellent, as usual!However, for the first time (of the several that we have eaten there) the service left a little to be desired. Understand about someone learning their job, not a problem.And, to be sure, it was typically busy.But, service was unusually slow. And, we saw a group walk out while servers appeared to be gathering at the bar. Only reason for four instead of five stars. 🤔

Good vibes. Stayed at the bar. Service was standard...nothing to brag about. Very tasty lettuce wraps but not impressed with their tacos. I tasted the chicken taco. They taco special on Tuesday and wing special on Wednesdays. Several television games playing several games was a plus. Didn't have to wait for a seat at the bar. Would go back.

Good site for delicious American food. Got there about one, it wasn't busy. I will be back with my friends. Prices are fair. Food is similar to a cafe in Portland I loved.

Delightful place! Absolutely superb Service, Food and atmosphere! Will tell everyone I know and I and the wife will definitely be back! Compliments to the staff. The only thing they need to add is to have someone roaming around with a pitch of water always ready to fill the glass. Me and the wife drink a lot of water so we had to wait for some time to get some water. Otherwise, this is so cozy and a fun place to hang out with friends or family!

Ordered an old fashion and the lamb special. It was ok at best. Nice staff and a clean restuarant but for 30 bucks a plate it fell short.
